Meet Naomi
Naomi established her boutique accounting practice with the goal of bringing a differentiated level of accounting and tax services to small businesses. She specializes in accounting, tax, business plans, bookkeeping, payroll, and GST and is committed to helping her clients succeed in reaching their personal and business goals. She enjoys building relationships and working closely with entrepreneurs to develop strategies for long term success.
Naomi started her accounting career over 20 years ago bookkeeping for her family's residential construction company, and recognizes first hand the benefits and challenges associated with owning a small to medium size business. Since then, she has gone on to work as an accountant in a variety of industries and brings a diverse set of accounting experience and knowledge to her firm. Naomi has spent the last ten years in public practice and has chosen to focus on helping business owners achieve financial results. The cornerstone of her practice is built around supporting business owners and their families so they can focus on the things that really matter to them.
Naomi has an Honours Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Laurentian University, a Business Administration Diploma from SAIT, as well as a Canadian Association of Petroleum Production Accounting Certificate from SAIT. She also has a Chartered Professional Accountant designation and is a member in good standing.
Naomi currently volunteers as a co-organizer of the Calgary Women in Business Networking Meetup group and is a strong supporter of local entrepreneur's building their small businesses. She also enjoys sharing her knowledge and interacting with entrepreneurs who share a similar enthusiasm for their businesses as a CPA Financial Literacy volunteer.

HOW DID YOU FIND YOUR CALLING?
I knew I was meant for more than sitting in a cubicle all day crunching numbers. Balancing a stressful day job in public practice while managing the office work for my family’s construction business and raising my two daughters left me exhausted. When Covid hit, it gave me the clarity I needed to focus on what truly mattered. That’s when I realized I had always enjoyed working with clients and that I could make a real difference.

WHAT DO YOU DO IN YOUR FREE TIME?
When away from the office, I enjoy getting outdoors —as long as the weather is warm. You can find me hiking, cycling, or kayaking when the sun is shining. In the colder months, I do my best to escape to warmer destinations and explore new places with my family. Otherwise, you will likely find me shopping with my two daughters, latte in hand, dodging snowflakes and dreaming of sunshine.

WHERE ARE YOU FROM?
I grew up in Calgary, but have called Cochrane home for the past 28 years. Over that time, I have enjoyed watching Cochrane grow from a quiet little town into a vibrant community, all while still maintaining its small-town charm ~ although, we now have a few more traffic circles than anyone asked for.
