Meet Naomi
Naomi Dukart is a Chartered Professional Accountant providing boutique accounting and tax services for owner-managed businesses. Her practice is built on trusted relationships, practical tax strategies, and client education, with transparent pricing that reflects today’s economy and the realities of small business budgets.
Naomi provides accounting and tax support designed to help small business owners stay organized, informed, and confident in their financial decisions. She specializes in accounting and tax services, business planning, bookkeeping, payroll, and GST, and is committed to helping clients build strong financial foundations that support both business growth and personal goals.
Naomi began her accounting career over 25 years ago, bookkeeping for her family’s residential construction company. This hands-on experience gave her a strong understanding of both the opportunities and challenges that come with operating a small to medium-sized business. Since then, she has worked across a variety of industries, bringing a diverse background and practical perspective to every client file.
With over a decade of experience in public practice, Naomi has chosen to focus her work on owner-managed businesses. Her approach is relationship-based and proactive—working closely with entrepreneurs to help them understand their numbers, make informed decisions, and stay positioned for long-term success. The cornerstone of her practice is supporting business owners and their families so they can focus on what matters most to them.
Naomi holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Laurentian University, a Business Administration Diploma from SAIT, and a Canadian Association of Petroleum Production Accounting Certificate from SAIT. She is also a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and is a member in good standing.
Outside of work, Naomi volunteers as a co-organizer of the Calgary Women in Business Networking Meetup group and supports the local business community through CPA Financial Literacy volunteer initiatives.

HOW DID YOU FIND YOUR CALLING?
I knew I was meant for more than sitting in a cubicle crunching numbers all day. Balancing a stressful day job in public practice while managing the office work for my family’s construction business on weekends, all while raising my two daughters, left me exhausted.
When COVID hit, it brought the clarity I needed to focus on what mattered most. I had always enjoyed working closely with clients and knew I could make a real difference as I understood first-hand the challenges of juggling work, family and endless responsibilities.
That's when I decided to build my own practice, providing accounting and tax support with a more personal, client-focused experience. My goal was to be a reliable resource entrepreneurs could turn to for clarity and support, reducing the pressure of managing everything on their own.

WHERE ARE YOU FROM?
I grew up in Calgary, but have called Cochrane home for more than 25 years. During that time, I have enjoyed watching Cochrane grow from a quiet little town into a vibrant community, all while still maintaining its small-town charm.
It has been a wonderful place to raise my daughters and build my career. Since launching my practice five years ago, I’ve been grateful for the support and trust I’ve received from local business owners throughout Cochrane, Calgary, and the surrounding areas. As a small business owner myself, I understand what it takes to build something from the ground up, and this is an area that genuinely supports local.
Being connected to this community is central to how I approach my work. I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to support the local businesses that make this area such a great place to live and work.

WHAT DO YOU DO IN YOUR FREE TIME?
When away from the office, I try to spend as much time as possible outdoors during the warmer months. You can find me hiking, cycling, paddle boarding, spending time at the dog park with my mischievous labradoodle, Jett, or simply enjoying a glass of wine on the patio while soaking up the sunshine.
In the colder months, I do my best to escape to warmer destinations and explore new cities or spend time on sunny beaches with my family. Otherwise, you'll likely find me shopping with my two daughters, latte in hand, dodging snowflakes and counting down the days until spring.

I am addicted to anything chocolate.
My book club drinks more wine than reads books.
My idea of relaxing is organizing anything - closets, shelves, files, and even a messy chart of accounts...it is oddly satisfying.
